When I watch shows from the U.S. the only beer I ever see used as a prop is Budweiser.?

Is there beers that are superior to this brand in the states.Or is it just clever product placement. In Britain the adds make you think that Fosters , a brand from Australia is popular there but hardly anyone in Australia drinks it
