Why does my cat destroy my house everyday.?

Every morning I wake up My cat has destroyed my house... he is wiping is butt on my carpet. chewing the cords clawing anywhere he can get a grip.. His water bowl is always knocked completely over litter all over the floor and I have a enclosed litter box..... So how can I calm him down he is reckless....
