When I try to login to AKO I can't get to home page. I can get to web mail sometimes.?

I have called the help desk several times and they were not much help. I had NO problem with logging in to AKO until just 3 weeks ago.The other issue is when I open an email from my platoon sargent it locks up my computer, and I have to shut down & restart. It has become a real pain in the ***. I have ran scans & there are no virus or issues with my com purer. I have no problems with any other programs or logging in to yahoo, just AKO.
