How to add/remove buttons from different groups in Home tab of ms word 2007?

Actually, i started teaching office 2007 in an institute. In my laptop, at font group of home tab, I can clearly see "enclose character" and "character border" buttons. But on computers of institute those buttons are missing. I even saw some modified styles group, paragragh group of home tab in other people's computer. How can i do that?
