How to free up phone memory.....................?

i'm using NOKIA C-5............i'm not storing any app,songs,videos in phone memory......but it shows usage 5MB out of 48MB....i have also changed in phone to memory card in message.........how to free up phone memory.......i have also scanned my phone for virus....nothing shows..........how to solve this problem..................
